Pullip Hannah: Review

Pullip Hannah showed up on the Pullip scene in 2013. She is a collaboration doll between Pullip and Japanese clothing brand, SunaUna! What I love most about this doll is her overall simplicity. She doesn't come with as many bells and whistles to her stock outfit like many other Pullip dolls do, but she still manages to look very fashionable! She reminds me of the modern, everyday girls you see walking around here in Japan with the way she's dressed! Dresses similar in design to the one Hannah is sporting paired with some trendy tights and a pair of cute, feminine heels seems to be a popular go-to fashion choice when it comes to casual wear for the average Japanese woman! 

Pullip Hannah Comes With:

- A beret

- Fur coat (I believe it's faux fur) that hooks in the front

- Navy blue shift dress with floral print designed by SunaUna

- Navy blue stockings

- Navy blue shoes with bows placed at the toes

Pros:

- Wig is such a pretty  color combination of auburn and light brown! It's also fairly soft!

- Her  green eyechips stand out among her haircolor and her pink makeup! Her gray painted lashes don't overpower her look and keeps the look soft!

- Very versatile doll!

- She has such a bright and sunny look to her!

- Stock isn't overwhelming and everything is very easy to put on and take off with no hassle!

- Her stock is great quality! Out of all my dolls, she's one of the ones that have the best stock outfits! 

- Her coat and hat are so soft!

- Type 4 body!

- Shoes fit pretty well!

Cons:

-  Her wig is extremely frizzy around her curls and can become even more frizzy easily. The degree of frizzing may differ from doll to doll.

- For some reason, it's very easy to pull out strands of hair from her wig with almost effortlessly. (May vary from doll to doll.)

Neutral:

- She costs a bit of money mainly because she's a collaboration doll ($127.95 on PullipStyle) and doesn't come with very much, but overall, it doesn't seems so bad because her stock is so nice and well-made.

The Verdict:

It's so unfortunate that Hannah is often overlooked and isn't so popular! Some may argue that she's a bit bland or that her outfit is a bit off-putting, but I absolutely adore her! For the most part, she's a quality doll and there's really not many negative things to say about her! The only issue I have with her is the wig, but there could be worse things than that. Honestly, I think she'd make for a fairly good starter doll for those just starting a collection, so long as they are careful with the aforementioned wig. She's just so versatile and would look gorgeous in almost any wig or outfit that you put her in! None of the pieces that she comes with are things that can be so easily ruined or torn, either. In my book, she's definitely a doll worth getting!

Pullip Midori Fukasawa La Robe Vert Clair: Review

With her fabulously frilly dress and her stylish short curly bob, it was hard to resist Pullip Midori Fukusawa! How could I when she looked so much like royalty! Midori Fukusawa, along with Pullip Misako Aoki, is a Baby, the Stars Shine Bright collaboration doll and is made to resemble Baby model, Midori Fukusawa! She automatically became my favorite out of the two Baby dolls, though I still was set on buying both her and Pullip Misako! It seemed only right to get them together, and I don't regret that decision in the least!

Pullip Midori Fukusawa Comes With:

- Crown headpiece

- Pearl beaded necklace

- La Robe Vert Clair gown

- Removable sash

- Detachable bustle

- Two lace gloves

- White stockings

- A pair of white mary jane flats

- Pullip Midori Fukasawa's Trading Card

- Doll stand

Pros:

- Her faceup makes her look mature and sharp, but by no means harsh. It's a nice contrast in comparison to Pullip Misako Aoki's faceup, since Misako's eye shape is more rounded and has a slight droop to them, and Midori's are slightly less wide and have more of an angle. (The way their lashes and eye shadow were painted on seems to be the biggest difference between their faceups, that and Misako has more blush on her cheeks that is more pink and has slightly bolder pink lips than Midori.)

-  Her curly short wig is very cute and unique!

- No visible wig netting can be seen! (May vary from doll to doll.)

- Her wig has a nice scent to it, almost like it has been sprayed with perfume! It may seem a bit odd, but whenever I pass by her, I sometimes stop just to sniff her wig. (May vary from doll to doll.)

- All of her ribbons on her stock are sewn on well. (May vary from doll to doll)

- Her shoes seem to fit her better than Pullip Misako Aoki's shoes do. 

- Type 4 body!

- No issues with eye mechs! (May vary from doll to doll.)

Cons:

- Her curls are pretty frizzy and not very easy to manage.

- The metal crown isn't sewn very well onto the ribbon that ties around her head. It's a bit loose. (May vary from doll to doll.)

- The crown is too heavy for the ribbon and can make the ribbon slide off from her head. It needs to be very securely fastened to keep it in place.

- Stock is made of very delicate and light material that can be easily damaged if not cared for properly. Also, it may have many loose threads hanging off of it that need to be trimmed.

- Her joints are a little stiff making her difficult to pose. (May vary from doll to doll.)

Neutral:

- Her dress isn't as accurate to the actual La Robe Vert Clair dress. It's close, but it doesn't come as close as Pullip Misako Aoki's dress does to the real Favorite Ribbon dress.

- Her bustle attaches onto the back of her dress the same way Misako's bow does. It doesn't cause any issues if she is just staying still, but it does come off easily if she's being moved around. It's recommended that you keep the bustle off of her if you plan on taking her somewhere so it doesn't get lost.

- She costs quite a bit, especially since she doesn't come with as much as Pullip Misako Aoki does. ( She's priced the same as Pullip Misako at $135 on pullipstyle.com.) However, her stock is very elaborate, and she doesn't cost as much as some other collaboration dolls, so I feel that it's justifiable enough.

The Verdict:

I hands down really love this doll! She looks very much like royalty and has an air of elegance about her! Out of all my dolls, she is certainly the most regal! I'm personally really happy that she is a part of my collection! If you are a fan of Baby, the Stars Shine Bright or happen to love Midori Fukusawa, by all means, get her! If you've been considering buying her, I urge you to do so! You will not be sorry for it!

Dal Sakura: Review

                                                                       

I can't help but be drawn to springy curls and flowing waves, so it's no surprise that, along with being covered from head-to-toe in hime-gyaru fashion, is what caught my attention when I saw Sakura. Being a sucker for anything with ribbons, frills, and lace tacked onto it, it was nearly impossible for me not to get my hands on her as soon as I possibly could! When I finally did, I couldn't have been more happy! Everything about her exuded the air of a spoiled princess, from her prim and perfectly coordinated clothing and accessories to her pouty expression that Dal is so very famous for! I was loving her more and more by the second!

What Sakura Comes With:

- A headband decorated with a bow and two flowers made from satin ribbon attached to the knot of it
- A white laced bolero with a ribbon placed on the front of the collar and two strands of beads and roses on the shoulders
- One-piece dress with a rose print pattern on the bodice and a multi-layered gauze and satin skirt
- A tulle petticoat
- Two sheer pink gloves, one with a pearl beaded bracelet sewn onto it
- A purse
- White fishnet stockings
-Pink platform heels with white bows above the toes and pearls and rhinestones glued to the sides
- Sakura's trading card
- Pink glittery doll stand



Pros:
- No netting showing through on wig, her bouffant prevents it from doing so
-Ringlets are springy and not especially frizzy. (May vary from doll to doll.)
- Face up is very pretty! Her eye shadow and eyeliner are all black to draw attention to her lovely gray eyes, and her lips are painted a frosted light pink! It's very true to the way hime-gyaru girls do their makeup.
- Her headband fits nicely on her head! It stays very well in place!
- Her purse has a nice floral design printed onto it and is soft and pillowy! It also has a beaded handle and a cute pink butterfly bead sewn on it for decoration.
- Her dress is very light and poofy, very feminine!
-No loose threads hanging from her stock. (May vary from doll to doll)
- Bow detailing are very well sewn on and aren't likely to fall off! (May vary from doll to doll.)
- Her shoes do not fall off of her feet!


Cons:

- The beads and rhinestones on her shoes fall off very easily. Straight out of the box before I even touched her shoes, they were coming off and I had to glue them back into place.
- She has a very floppy body that makes her difficult to pose and more prone to falling over even when placed on her stand. (May vary from doll to doll.)
- The top layer of her skirt is made of very thin, light material that could be easily torn if you are not careful.
- Her gloves, mainly the one with the bracelet on it, are really difficult to put on, and are also made of fragile material.
- Her curls must be treated delicately with care, otherwise they could possibly become undone or messy, like most dolls with curly hair.


Neutral:

- There are some fly-aways and loose hairs on her bouffant, but were able to be smoothed down back into place with some anti-frizz serum.
- Her wig is elaborately styled and is gorgeous, but it doesn't allow you to style it in a different way due to the top part being so stiff and all of her curls.
- The shades of pink on her dress are darker than shown on the stock photos.



The Verdict:

I don't think that Sakura is for everyone. While I love her, I can see how she wouldn't suit everyone's tastes, as her appearance can make her seem like she belongs in one of those glitzy child beauty pageants and that can be pretty off-putting to some. However, if you are a fan of the hime-gyaru style or Japanese fashion in general like I am, I feel she'd be an excellent doll to get! She has so much attitude and is very fashionable, which would make her perfect to put out on display!
